About Me

Hi - my name Jenny and I'm a Christian mum who understands the beautiful, exhausting, joy-filled, and sometimes overwhelming journey of raising children while trying to keep Jesus at the centre of it all.

I’m not perfect — far from it.
I’ve had seasons where my Bible gathered dust, where prayers felt like they fell to the ground and where the demands of motherhood left me feeling spiritually dry. But in every season, God has been faithful to meet me right where I am.

I started The Daily Refresh because I know how easy it is for mothers to pour themselves out for everyone else and forget to sit at the feet of Jesus. I know how discouraging it feels when you want to be rooted in Scripture but can’t seem to find the time. And I know how refreshing it is when God’s Word finally speaks into the chaos again.

Here, I seek to write with honesty, humility, and a heart that encourages you.
I don’t have all the answers, but I deeply believe in the One who does.

My hope is that this space becomes:

A gentle nudge back into God’s presence
A place of rest for your weary heart
A reminder that you’re not alone
A source of joy, truth, and grace for your everyday life

I pray that as you read, you feel seen, strengthened, and refreshed in His Word — because you are dearly loved by Him.

Why I created The Daily Refresh

Motherhood is beautiful but it is also a busy - and stressful - phase of life. Though we may enter into it with the best of intentions, often we find ourselves struggling both physically and spiritually. I wanted to create a place where mums could take a moment to breathe in the presence of the Lord, hear God's truth and be reminded that:

you can walk closely with the Lord - no matter the season
His Word is powerful and life-giving
Your identity comes from the Lord and not from your role as a mother
God see every act of love you pour into your family - yes, the endless laundry and dishes!
You don't need to be perfect - just willing to return to him daily

This blog comes from my heart - a place to share Scripture encouragement and practical ways to keep Christ the centre of every day.
